Why choose Nino over Betterment

Plan the decision before moving the money

A stock sale can fund a home and create a tax bill. Nino lets you estimate the taxes, model the purchase, and see how it could change retirement. Ask follow-up questions using your connected finances. Betterment automates portfolio management; Nino helps you understand the financial decision before you make it.

Get a financial plan without a portfolio minimum

Use Nino’s AI to generate a plan and compare life-event forecasts without moving investments. If you want people to handle planning and taxes, Nino also offers a CPA and CFP services plan. Betterment’s human CFP planning is in Premium, which requires $100,000 in eligible assets.

Give your financial plan a tax team

Add Nino’s services and a CPA and CFP team builds your financial plan, optimizes taxes, prepares and files returns, and helps put the plan into action. Ultra software is included. Betterment Premium offers CFP planning and can collaborate with your CPA; Nino includes the tax professional and filing in its services.

How Betterment compares

Automated portfolio management

Betterment builds investment portfolios, rebalances them, and offers tax-loss harvesting for eligible accounts. Nino’s software helps you plan financial decisions; it does not replace those trading functions.

CFP planning through Premium

Premium offers a personalized financial plan, CFP conversations, and advice on outside assets, with a $100,000 eligible investment minimum. Betterment can collaborate with your CPA but does not file tax returns.
