Nino, Range, and Domain Money are alternatives to Facet for different reasons. Nino offers AI software on its own or software plus a human financial and tax team. Range offers a team of specialists, while Domain Money emphasizes a CFP relationship with lower renewal fees. Start with the help you need: software, human planning, investment management, tax filing, or a combination.
Start with what Facet already covers
Facet’s membership includes CFP-led planning and investment management. Core covers foundational planning; Plus adds employer-equity planning and partner tax filing; Complete offers more access and deeper tax analysis.
Meeting access matters alongside the service list. Facet’s published plans differ in scheduled meetings and available hours. Ask how questions between meetings are handled and which work requires an upgrade.
If your current planner knows your situation and follows through, that relationship has value. Before moving, identify the missing service or cost issue you expect another provider to solve.
Compare the published fees

Sources: Facet, Nino, Range, and Domain Money. Prices checked September 15, 2026. Facet currently advertises temporary discounts below these list prices and waives its enrollment fee with annual payment; compare the final offer, extras, and renewal price.
Do not compare a software subscription with a planning membership as if they include the same work. With Nino, software connects your accounts and documents so you can ask financial questions and explore plans yourself. Software + services adds a human CPA and CFP team to build your financial plan, handle tax planning and filing, and help put the plan into action.
When should you consider Range?
Consider Range if access to a team of specialists and investment tools fits how you want to work. Its Premium tier includes investment and retirement planning. Platinum adds tax projections and equity-compensation planning. Titanium adds personal tax filing.
If you need filing, compare the filing tier—not the entry price. Its current table lists limits for states, K-1s, and properties, with charges for some additional work. Ask how your actual return fits those limits.
When should you consider Domain Money?
Consider Domain Money if a continuing CFP relationship and a lower renewal fee appeal to you. Compare its session limits and the tier that covers your equity awards and returns. Strategic lists RSU/ESPP planning; Comprehensive covers additional option-related complexity.
The initial fee matters as much as the renewal fee. Strategic’s $5,200 first year plus $4,200 renewal is $9,400 for two years, assuming unchanged prices and no extras. Quoting only the $4,200 renewal would understate the amount needed to start.
Use the same three questions with every provider
- Will this plan cover my next decisions? Name the award types, filing states, retirement questions, business interests, and deadlines. “Tax help” is too broad to compare.
- Who will do each job? Ask who updates projections, recommends changes, prepares the return, and follows up. A partner arrangement can work well when the responsibility is clear.
- What will the whole relationship cost? Add enrollment, renewal, extra returns, investment expenses, and project fees. Check cancellation terms and access to your records.
For example, a household with RSUs and two filing states needs a different comparison from someone who wants to connect accounts and ask retirement questions without hiring a planner. Shortlist the services that solve your problem, then compare prices within that group.
