Insights you can talk through, a refreshed Equity page, documents in chat

Insights now open as a conversation, and new ones flag deadlines tied to your life events and losses you can harvest before Dec 31. Equity is rebuilt around each company with a deeper exercise simulator, chat can save documents you revise over time, and household plans get events and a yearly Cashflow table.

Now you can

  • Life-event Insights with the dated steps that come with a wedding, new child, move, or new job
  • Tax-loss harvesting Insight that names exactly what to sell before Dec 31
  • Inbox Insights open as a conversation you can reply to
  • Save and revise documents right in chat
  • Equity rebuilt around each company, with federal tax, 83(b), and sell-to-cover in the simulator

New

  • Tell Nino what's changing in your life in About You, like a wedding, a new child, a new job, a move between states, a home sale, retirement, or a large stock sale, and an Insight lays out the deadlines and rules that come with it. Pattern Insights are now on for every household.
  • A new tax-loss harvesting Insight finds positions in your taxable brokerage accounts that are below cost, names the sale, and shows the least federal tax it would save if you sell before Dec 31. Opening it in chat starts from what the card found, with no questions first.
  • Opening an Insight in Inbox now starts a conversation about it, with the details and any related transaction in the first message plus suggested questions. If the card later resolves or you dismiss it, the conversation keeps it as its subject.
  • Ask Nino to save something you want to keep, share, or come back to, and chat saves it as a document that opens beside the conversation. Ask for changes and step back through earlier versions anytime.
  • Equity is organized around each company. A grant filter narrows every tab so several grants at one employer read together, and the portfolio explains what your value is made of and surfaces the nearest deadline.
  • The equity Simulation tab estimates federal tax on an exercise, compares exercising now with a later month, models early exercise with or without an 83(b), and handles after-tax sales, same-day sales, and sell-to-cover. It also warns before options expire.
  • Record an 83(b) election or an RSU release with tax withheld, and mark a share price as a 409A. Every price shows its source and how old it is.
  • Household plans can add an income change, sabbatical, pension, or Social Security start through the same life-event flow and plan chat as other plans, and the Cashflow tab shows a year-by-year table.
  • Household plans assume a surviving spouse spends 70% of the couple's spending, and you can change it per plan or for all household plans.
  • Book your free consultation right in the app instead of a Calendly popup, and see "Call booked" with the date once it's set.

Updates

  • A CSV transaction import keeps going if you close the dialog, with a Resume toast when it's ready. Import CSV now sits in the Transactions actions menu next to Export CSV, and each import is named after its file and links to it in Vault.
  • CSV import reads Venmo and Cash App exports, picks up columns automatically when it can, and chat only suggests importing after an account can't be linked.
  • Transaction rows drop the repetitive grey second line. When the bank's raw description adds something, it shows in the detail panel instead.
  • Equity tracks started from chat or the simulator are linked to the grants and company they're about, and show up under that company.
  • Public company shares you hold count toward net worth once, without double counting.
  • You can open Nino's list of tool calls while a reply is still coming in.
  • Chat reads every holding, tax lot, and transaction in a large household in one reply instead of stopping partway.
  • Inbox remembers where you were reading when you switch threads or reload.

Bug fixes

  • Unread dots stay until a conversation has actually loaded, and Inbox threads no longer jump when you open them or a reply finishes.
  • Expired options and options past their post-departure window stop vesting and no longer add value.
  • Equity totals add up, including vested RSUs not yet released, early exercises, and shares withheld for tax. "Today" follows your time zone.
  • An ISO exercised more than three months after leaving is taxed as an NSO.
  • New exercises start with a blank fair market value, and a suggested price is only used once you accept it.
  • The household take-home gap ends at retirement, edits to pay and Social Security apply correctly, and slow lookups no longer drop a household plan back to the older model.
  • The Forecast page no longer freezes from endless re-rendering.
  • Sending a file with nothing typed sends just the file, and mentions are kept when you retry a message.
  • Household settings show a retry when something fails to load instead of an empty card.
  • A track that fails to start shows its error once, in the dialog.
