I. The Program
1. What Nino offers
Nino Finance ("Nino") gives a new household that signs up through a member's referral link (the "Referred Member") $500 off the first year of an eligible Advisor Plan, and pays the member who referred them (the "Referrer") a reward of $500 once the Referred Member has stayed on that plan through the money-back period described below (the "Program").
2. Eligible plans
Only Nino's Advisor Plans (currently Essential, Plus, and Premier) qualify. Software plans, including Basic, Pro, and Ultra, do not qualify.
3. Your referral link
Each member household has one personal referral link, shown in the Nino app under Settings. A referral is credited only when the Referred Member arrives through that link and creates their Nino account, or when Nino confirms the referral at its discretion.
II. Eligibility
4. Who can refer
Any Nino member in good standing who is a U.S. resident and at least 18 years old may refer. You may not refer your own household or anyone who shares your household.
5. Who can be referred
The Referred Member must be a U.S. resident, at least 18 years old, and a household that has never held a paid Nino plan. Each new household can be referred once; if more than one link reaches it, the first link it arrived through counts.
III. The Referred Member's Discount
6. When the discount applies
The $500 discount is applied when the Referred Member signs up for their Advisor Plan, and comes off the price of their first year. There is nothing to claim or submit.
7. What the discount is not
The discount is a reduction in the first-year price only. It is not a cash payment or an account credit that can be withdrawn, and it has no cash value beyond that reduction. One discount applies per household.
IV. The Referrer's Reward
8. The 30-day hold
Advisor Plans include a 30-day money-back guarantee. The Referrer's reward is earned only after the Referred Member's first 30 days on their Advisor Plan, counted from their first successful Advisor Plan payment, with that payment not refunded and the plan still active.
9. Cancellation in the first 30 days
If the Referred Member cancels or receives a money-back refund within those 30 days, no reward is paid to the Referrer.
10. How and when the reward is paid
Nino pays an earned reward within 30 days after the 30-day hold ends, through Cello, the provider that runs this Program, to the payout method you set up there. Nino or Cello may ask for the details needed to send it, including a completed IRS Form W-9.
V. Tax Treatment
11. Rewards may be reportable
A Referrer's reward may be taxable income. Nino issues an IRS Form 1099 where required, including when a Referrer's rewards total $600 or more in a calendar year. The Referred Member's discount is a reduction in the price of their own plan and is generally not income. Nino does not provide tax advice through this Program; consult your own tax advisor.
VI. Disclosure
12. Referrers are compensated
A Referrer receives a reward for each eligible referral. A Referrer is a Nino member, not an employee or representative of Nino, and their recommendation reflects their own experience. That reward gives a Referrer a reason to recommend Nino. Nino may require a written agreement with any Referrer whose rewards exceed $1,000 in a 12-month period.
VII. Limits & Anti-Abuse
13. Sharing your link
Share your link with people you know. You may not post it on coupon or deal sites, buy ads against Nino's name, send unsolicited bulk messages, or describe Nino's services in a way that is inaccurate or misleading.
14. Disqualification
Nino may withhold or reverse any reward, and remove anyone from the Program, for fraud, self-referral, duplicate accounts, abuse, or failure to meet these terms. Nino's determinations under these terms are final.
VIII. Changes & Termination
15. We may change or end the Program
Nino may modify, suspend, or end the Program, or these terms, at any time. Referrals credited before a change keep the terms in effect when the Referred Member started their Advisor Plan. The Program is void where prohibited. These terms supplement, and are governed by, our Terms of Service.
